Novel Application of the Roof-Cutting-Type Gob-Side Entry Retaining in Coal Mine

In this study, the roof-cutting-type gob-side entry retaining is introduced, and its application in medium-thickness coal seams studied. Based on analysis of construction procedure principle, mechanical model retained roadway structure cantilever beam formed by roof cutting was established, support resistance deformation were obtained. addition, through technological design numerical simulation, parameters determined. The roof-cutting height angle designed to be 9 m 15°, respectively. Flac3 D used analyze stress evolution law under different mining conditions. integrated side subsidence lower when 8∼10 15°. Through field monitoring, pressure, lateral gangue anchor cable stress, surrounding rock eventually reached a stable state. This indicates that can effectively cut down overlying strata over gob form meet requirements next working face.
